Position: Chartering Manager (DPP)

About our Client and the Requirement:
Our Client is a reputed Ship Owning Company. Because of the addition of Crude Oil Tankers to the fleet, this position has come up.

Desired Candidate profile:
   Must be a MBA Finance Graduate or must have sailing experience in a Senior rank.
   Min 5 years’ experience in Chartering of DPPs.
   Positive attitude with good interpersonal and management skills
   Excellent Financial Analysis skills, Negotiation Skills, Commercial and Business Acumen
   Should have good understanding of lead & lag market indicators for freight/charter and asset values

Job Description:
   Fleet Deployment Strategy
       Analyse supply & demand situation in the market; conduct market researchthrough discussions with brokers, study of reports to infer on macro andmicro trends that may affect the markets, basis which crystallize fleetdeployment strategy
       Formulate a view on ratio of spot, period fixtures.
       Discuss and recommend inputs for the strategy to Head Chartering, President Shipping and MD
       Assess the market (Analyse supply & demand situation in the market)
       Prepare earnings budget and submit for approval to Head Chartering for
       Review and approval
       Monitor progress against planned budget; review actual earnings v/sbudget and in case budgets below actual earnings, recommend course corrections
   Opportunity Identification
       Create an opportunity identification business plan keeping in view existing market trends in various niche markets and voyage patterns.
       Approach clients both where substantial long-term relationships exist andfor potential new clients for chartering and make decisions for closing deals.
       Get head tankers clearance for new opportunities
       Build a network of brokers who will assist bringing chartering opportunities for the organization.
       Review on a quarterly basis the TCE.
   Charter Party Management
       Ensure Charter party terms are in compliance with the organisation’s riskmanagement procedures
       Post finalisations, provide the necessary documents to the operations team for execution of the voyage
